Dr. Lance Nail, department chair and associate professor and of Finance, Economics and Quantitative Methods at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has been appointed dean of the College of Business at Southern Miss, effective July 1.
He joins Southern Miss following the retirement of Dr. Alvin Williams, who has served as interim dean for the past year.
Dr. Nail received a Ph.D. in finance with a minor in economics from the University of Georgia in 1996 and a B.S. in finance with a minor in economics from the University of Alabama in 1989.
