The University of Southern Mississippi commemorated 100 years of Golden Eagle football  Saturday with the annual homecoming game.

The week of festivities included a kickoff party, relay race, dance competition and fountain sit. Student organizations were paired together to form teams, and they racked up points throughout the week with their participation in the various homecoming activities.

The overall winners of homecoming were Team 2, which was comprised of Pi Kappa Alpha, Delta Gamma, Graduate Educational Research Association and the Southern Miss Activities Council.

A parade was held in downtown Hattiesburg Saturday morning.

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles took on  the Marshall Thundering Herd at The Rock for the seventh game of the season, losing 59-24.
