The University of Southern Mississippi celebrated Military Appreciation Day and Boys and Girls Scout Game Day against Charlotte 49 ers on Nov. 5, in the at the “Rock.”
Fans waited for a Golden eagles victory in the home ground, and players, students and the Pride received a warm welcome and support during the Eagle walk.
Everyone in the stadium cheered when the Golden Eagles entered the stadium carrying different military flags alongside active military members. An Air Force operated air plane flew over the stadium during the kickoff. USM alumni Maj. Kendall Dunn piloted the flyover before the game’s beginning.
