USM senior Whitney Miller made it to the Top 4 on FOX's MasterChef Wednesday. The two-part episode began with six contestants and was narrowed to five after the first hour of the show. During the second hour Miller found herself in the bottom two. She and another contestant had to bake soufflés to fight for a spot in the Top 4.
Clearly a perfectionist, Miller took her time baking the soufflé, prompting some scolding from the judges.
"Whitney, can I advise you to please get something in the oven?" said Chef Gordon Ramsay. "Otherwise tonight you will be cooking for your parents again."
After presenting her food to the judges, famous chef Gordon Ramsay reprimanded her for not tasting her dish.
"Whitney, you haven't even tasted it," Ramsay said. The judges had advised the two to taste their soufflés before presenting them for judging.
Still Miller's soufflé won her a spot in the Top 4.
When announcing the winner, Chef Graham Elliot said to Miller, "Your soufflé was –"
"Perfect," Ramsay said.
"Absolutely perfect," Elliot said.
