The videos included in this story are meant to highlight students doing what they love. If you’re interested in doing any of these activities, then you can use the resources provided on this page to get started. But don’t think these are the only things you can do at Southern Miss; there are many, many more activities to partake in, such as swimming, bicycling, rugby and so forth.
With so much to do at Southern Miss, we can’t include all the resources. But we can recommend that you visit the Payne Center or check out the links provided so that you can find whatever it is you will be passionate about.
To find out more about intramural sports like basketball, soccer and more, visit USM Rec Sports.
If you want to learn more about meditation, visit Mindful.org. And to get involved with a meditation group like Kate Greene’s, you can email Daniel Capper at email@example.com or you can email Kate Greene at firstname.lastname@example.org. Their group meets next to the medicine wheel garden behind the Liberal Arts Building on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:15 p.m.
Edge Dance Collective
The Edge meets at the Payne Center on Wednesdays from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. Membership is $15 and includes a t-shirt. For more information, you can view their facebook page here.
Interested in developing your muscles? The Payne Center offers a lot of great equipment for workouts, and if you’re a student, then you already have a membership at this gym. For information about beginning a workout plan and nutrition, visit BodyBuilding.com. Also, talk to Southern Miss Rec Sports about getting a personal trainer or receiving a $15 fitness assessment. All of this information is available at USM Rec Sports.
